SHIMERCOON MAINE COONS BREEDING CLASSIC TABBIES from AMERICAN and GERMAN LINES My name is Alison Green and I live in the West Midlands. I have been employed by Birmingham City Council for the past 22 years as a tutor in horticulture. I am also a committee member of the Maine Coon Cat Club where I am the trophy manager co-ordinator for the club show. I fell in love with Maine Coons at a show several years ago, after seeing a gorgeous cat called Keverstone Yankee Girl a big brown tabby. After making enquiries I found she was owned by Steve and Daphne Butters. It was some three years later after showing in the non pedigree section with my cat Red, Hamish a brown and white tabby arrived from Steve and Daphne. After showing Hamish I really got the Maine Coon bug and soon later Kitty arrived followed by Tia, my first two breeding queens. In July 2006 Keverstone Major Tom came to live with us, a lovely red tabby with white. We hope to have kittens from him and our girls soon. Having always loved browns Doris Lendon of Majanco Maine Coons kindly let me use her stud boy Champion Dakotha v Raccoon and thats where I saw some beautiful silver tortie kittens. Majanco Miramoy, Remy a lovely silver tortie tabby arrived to compliment my breeding program. The latest addition to join the Green family is Keverstone Rocknrollrebel, Angus a brown tabby boy. Who will be on the show bench shortly. Our kittens are born in my bedroom where I can keep a close eye on them. They are socialized at an early age so they can get accustomed to the sites and sounds of a busy household. The kittens are vaccinated at nine and twelve weeks and are registered with GCCF. They come with full pedigrees, 6 week free insurance, diet sheet and goody bag. We feed mostly Royal Canin as it is a good all round complete food. I breed show and pet quality kittens, I do not sell kittens for breeding purposes. My aim is to breed for good size and temperament and to preserve the classic style Maine Coon. My cats do not roam but have an outside run so they can enjoy the pleasures of the outside world without risk. I do not sell on my breeding queens or re-home them, they stay with me to enjoy their retirement. There's only one problem owning a Maine Coon... one is never enough. I hope you will enjoy meeting my cats.
